What is the Children’s Advocacy Center?

The Children’s Advocacy Center is a multidisciplinary not-for-profit agency which serves Northwest Missouri children who have been sexually or physically abused or severely neglected.  Before the Children’s Advocacy Center was established, children who had been abused were often interviewed numerous times by different agencies in places designed for adults. 

The Advocacy Center provides a child friendly environment to conduct one, research based, forensic interview that all agencies can use to conduct their investigation and prosecution.  We also provide counseling for all child victims of abuse. We serve children aged 2-17 from 10 counties in Northwest Missouri. All of our services are free.
