Northwest Missouri Children’s Advocacy Center :: Services

Services Provided

Forensic Interviews:

A videotaped interview provided at the request of Law Enforcement and/or Children's Division when there has been a disclosure of sexual or physical abuse, or a reason to believe a child has been abused based upon medical evidence.  This interview is conducted at the Advocacy Center, a child friendly environment, by a trained forensic interviewer.

Forensic Evaluations:

An extended evaluation, generally 4-8 sessions, is provided by a trained forensic evaluator.  These evaluations are conducted if a child has not made a disclosure but there are strong indications of sexual abuse. An extended evaluation may be requested by law enforcement, children's division or a parent or guardian.
